Q: What surprised you most about working in the radio industry?

Coming from the service-provider side, the thing that surprised me the most in the radio industry was the complexity behind monetizing live audio content.

So much happens behind the scenes - from metadata precision at the studio to filling ad inventory across programmatic channels dynamically (to better target a listener) to volume normalization. There's a lot to navigate to ensure broadcasters earn money while not sacrificing the listener experience.
